Drastically Reduce Compressed Air Consumption

ITW Vortec's blowoff nozzles and jets are designed to reduce compressed air consumption and noise drastically, compared to open jets.

To accomplish these impressive air savings, we incorporate the proven Transvector? amplification principle in our nozzle and jet designs. When compressed air enters the nozzle or jet, it fills a chamber with only one exit path - a 0.002" (0.051 mm) annular orifice. As air passes through this orifice, it accelerates to 1000 feet (304.8m) per second, entraining free surrounding air as it exits. The result is airflow volume up to 25 times more than compressed air supplied.

Jets are round-throated air amplifiers; one end provides a strong airflow while the other creates suction as free air is entrained. Since jets output a more concentrated, targeted volume of air than nozzles, they are ideal for water, solvents or light oil stripping applications

Ultra-Fine Controlled Spray

 

When you need ultra-fine droplet-sized sprays for evaporative cooling, moisturization, atomization and humidification, Sprayvectors are the answer. Using compressed air, these liquid atomizing devices create micron and sub-micron sized spray droplets for greater surface coverage than conventional atomizing spray nozzles.

Sprayvector Applications:

 

Superior to hydraulic or piezoelectric spray nozzles, Sprayvectors accelerate air-liquid interaction and produce defined spray patterns that can be widely diffused or highly directed. These unique spray nozzles introduce low pressure (2-20 PSIG) liquids into large internal passages to eliminate clogging. Three models are available; Atomizing or Fogging styles deliver a dense, directable, high velocity spray for viscosities up to 1100 CPS, while the Humidifying model produces a very diffused, low velocity spray for viscosities up to 100 CPS. All styles feature a control knob for precise, fingertip adjustment of liquid flow rates. Water, chemicals, rust inhibitors, cleaners, solvents, preservatives, insecticides, lubricants and a wide diversity of other fluids can be dispensed.
