Tool Coolers

Tool Cooling System for dry machining applications - replaces polluting and often toxic mist systems to improve dry machining operations. No mess, no residue and low in cost. It is efficient and can improve dry machining operations and assist in spot cooling applications for a variety of industrial machining processes by increasing machining rates and 0 extending tool life. Produces cold air at approximately 50 F 0 (28 C) below supply air temperature. The unit is muffled for quiet operation. No moving parts assures long life, maintenance free operation while extending tool life and improving production rates. It can prevent smearing of metal or plastics and eliminates wheel loading. Factory set for optimum cooling effect and to prevent freeze up. Can often replace costly mist coolants and certainly improves the quality and output of all types of dry machining operations from metals to plastics. Unit is low cost, no electricity with no moving parts and is essentially maintenance free.

The Frost Free Cold Air Gun eliminates the mess associated with condensation and frost arising from continuous use of a Cold Air Gun. A must–have for sensitive applications such as:

  • Cutting, drilling or machining of paper products, wood products, fabrics or any product that is sensitive to water
  • Machining of materials covered with oil or oil-based lubricants

Cold Air Guns use vortex tube technology and filtered compressed air to produce sub-freezing air as low as -30 deg F for numerous industrial spot cooling applications. With no moving parts to wear out, Cold Air Guns require no electricity, just a compressed air source.

Cold Air Guns are most often used for cooling of metal parts, in the machining and repair of metals, plastics, wood, ceramics and other materials. Cold air machining outperforms mist coolants and substantially increase tool life and feed rates on dry machining operations. The effective cooling from a Cold Air Gun can eliminate heat-related parts growth while improving parts tolerance and surface finish quality. Cold Air Guns have adjustable temperature and flow settings; and some models have a frost free nozzle to eliminate mess from frost and condensation. The air consumption range is from 15 SCFM to 35 SCFM.

VERSATILE SPOT COOLING IN TIGHT SPACESThe Mini Cold Air Gun is designed for applications where the standard Cold Air Gun is too large to fit, or where compressed air flow is limited. The Mini Cold Air Gun uses only 8 SCFM of compressed air and achieves temperatures as low as 0 deg F. The Mini Cold Air Gun is available with a single nozzle or a dual point nozzle for multi-directional cooling.

Cold Air Guns use vortex tube technology and filtered compressed air to produce sub-freezing air as low as -30 deg F for numerous industrial spot cooling applications. With no moving parts to wear out, Cold Air Guns require no electricity at the target, just a compressed air source.
